New Physical Education Equipment!

MVA was awarded a Physical Education Cart loaded with equipment by S&S Worldwide at the recent Ohio Alliance of Public Charter Schools conference in Columbus, Ohio. The cart and equipment, worth over $600, includes Gator Balls, Basketballs, Hula Hoops, Jump Ropes, Beach Balls, Ultralite PE Balls, Footballs, Soccer Balls, Volleyballs and more!

The equipment will enhance the PE Program and provide motivation and fun for the students.

Parents, ask your child if they’ve had a chance to try any of the equipment out yet!

Please donate to our canned food drive

MVA is having a canned food drive to help support the local food bank at Faith Alive Ministries located on Alex Bell Road in West Carrollton. The food drive has a goal of collecting 200 cans of vegetables!

Bring your non-perishable food items to the school for drop off during school hours. Decorated baskets, to deposit your donated items, are available in the Main Office.

Class of 2012 prepares for graduation

Mark your calendars! Graduation will take place on May 25, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Alive Ministries, 3150 W. Alex-Bell Rd. Graduates are to arrive at 6 p.m. Practice will be held at 9 a.m. on the same day. You must attend the practice to march in the commencement and ceremony.
 
We are proud of all of our seniors and look forward to bright futures for each of them!
Senior Graduation Meeting Scheduled

The Class of 2012 will have their next senior meeting on Wednesday, December 14 at 8:15 am. There will be a $10 gift card drawing to Burger King for all students present.
8th Grade Play

The 8th grade class presented a play to the kindergarten and first grade students. Some of the younger students were also cast as elves and Santa’s helpers in the play. The play was written by 8th grade student, Shianne Barkley. In the play, the elves and Santa’s helpers saved Christmas from the diabolical Jack Frost.

Mrs. Muennich narrated and supervised the play. As a thank you, Santa and the elves gave each kindergartner and first grader a teddy bear.

Candy Cane Gram Sales

Candy Cane Grams were sold from December 5-December 15.  Each Candy Cane Gram includes a festive candy cane tied with a ribbon to a Christmas stocking “telegram”. The Candy Cane Grams are to friends and family by the students.

Proceeds from the sales of the Candy Cane Grams go to the student activities fund.
