Miami Valley Academies

K-4 Academy:


Our K-4 Academy offers a well-rounded curriculum which includes, in addition to the core subjects, computer lab, art and physical education.  Our small class sizes and Highly Qualified Teachers create a nurturing and safe environment for students to excel. We also offer an “All-Day” Kindergarten Program.”

5-8 Academy:


Our 5-8 Academy offers a well-rounded curriculum which includes, in addition to the core subjects, computer lab, art, health and physical education. The middle school academy has students rotating throughout the day experiencing different instructors and environments!  Our Highly Qualified Teachers create a structured and safe environment for students to excel.

9-12 Academy:


MVA offers an innovative program for students in grades 9-12+. Students may take advantage of our self-paced, computer-based PLATO Learning curriculum in our state-of-the art computer lab classrooms. The program allows students to learn at their own pace and alleviates the pressure to "keep up" with the rest of the class when material becomes challenging. We also offer in-class instruction for those students who require a more traditional approach to learning. Our PLATO curriculum is coupled with the support of highly qualified teachers who are subject-area/age-level proficient and have received extensive PLATO training.

Our 9-12 Program also allows students the option to participate in our state accredited Career Based Intervention (CBI) program. Our resident CBI professional brings much experience and enthusiasm to this program. Students who take part in our CBI program take part in work/volunteer opportunities that align with their career goals and interests. Our CBI Coordinator works closely with students and student supervisors to ensure productivity and skill attainment.

The 9-12+ Program also offers students the opportunity to pursue the PSEO Program at Sinclair College. Students earn dual credits towards their high school diploma and college.  All of our programs are geared toward students who are committed to higher learning whether that learning takes place in a college, our academy or in the workplace.
